if you want to cut it, try the “clamp” method technique to cut the silicone, the result will be professional-level straight cut.

Basically put a clamp around where you want to make a cut. Gently make the clamp snug on the tube and use a sharp knife, Exacto Knife, blade, to cut around the clamp using the clamp as guide support line. Please see attached picture. hope this helps.
