Use this guide to adjust your silicone air intake tube for your BMW E46 non-M.

Initially when you receive your silicone air intake elbow, the legs might be longer than what your application/E46 model may need.

Given that many of our customers use these silicone elbows to customize their air intake setup for their E46, this method shows how to make your silicone tube a perfect fit for your model and setup.

You can cut and adjust your silicone air intake tube, in order to make it a perfect fit for your specific application and model.

You can easily cut the silicone tube in order to make it the perfect size for your custom application.

HOW TO MAKE A PERFECT CUT ON SILICONE TUBES

In order to make the perfect cut, put on a clamp and tighten it just enough so its snug.

Then use a sharp knife to cut around the clamp. 

This will produce a clean perfect cut on your silicone tube.

BMW E46 MAF Diameter sizes:

• E46 330 – 3.5 inch MAF diameter, compatible with 3.5″ diameter silicone tubes
• E46 325 and all other 32x models use 3 inch MAF diameter, compatible with 3″ diameter silicone tubes

First, start by measuring  approximately how much you need to cut off the silicone tube.

After using the clamp method to make perfect cuts where needed, to have the perfect size tube for your application, connect the silicone tube to the MAF and use a clamp to secure it in place.
